The Henley and District Theatre Organ Trust was founded in 1971 with an inaugural concert in the Regal Cinema by the late Reginald Dixon which attracted some 1200 visitors to the town. It is a registered Charity 268161 run by a dedicated group of volunteers serving the community. President Robert Wolfe, Chairman Gordon Mintern, Secretary Dorothy Mintern, and Treasurer Harry Lambert. Regular Theatre Organ Concerts are now presented in Henley On Thames, Town Hall RG9 2AQ on a Sunday afternoon at 3.00p.m. The Theatre Organ is a state of the art Allen MDR 3.

NEWS: On Friday 14th May 2010 Grasmere’s team of recording engineers moved into Henley Town Hall to record the famous dual purpose organ. The Professional Organist for this occasion was John Mann. Apart from the BBC this the first recording of the organ made in the Town Hall and is available as a CD. This very popular organ providing entertainment for the older generation in the way of concerts, tea dances and civic occasions when its classical voicing comes into its own. Originally the Organ Trust was formed in 1971 when several recordings were made with the BBC and various film Producers with some top named stars.
